2014 is winding to an end, and we’re closing out this year with a full week of comics. However, starting next week The Center of Somewhere’s update schedule is dropping down to three times a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I’m still enjoying Center of Somewhere, and I’ve had a lot of fun experimenting with new storytelling formats as well as moving the overall narrative forward.  But a lot else is happening in life that’s precluding me from doing five updates a week. For one, I’ve had to take on a second job doing freelance newswriting. For another, I have a lot of ideas for additional comics projects I’d like to pursue, and I just plain don’t have enough time to work on them, CoS, my day job, the freelancing, and having some semblance of a social life so I don’t completely crack from overwork.  I thought about it long and hard, and ultimately cutting back to three strips a week seemed like my best option.

Don’t worry, the strip isn’t going away anytime in the near future. I have all of January written and the plots for February planned out, so we have a ways to go before our favorite middle Americans ride off into the sunset.  And in case you don’t follow me on Twitter, one of the comics projects I’m working on is the first Center of Somewhere book collection! I’ll be launching a Kickstarter for that hopefully at the end of January. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you plenty informed as we get closer to the launch date.

So thanks for reading the strip so far, and I appreciate you sticking around as we transition to this new phase in the comic’s life.
